Unusual stained glass windows, created outside

Under the name Outsider Stained Glass, I build custom windows on commission and teach private lessons for people who want to learn the process. The name is both literal and referential: I don’t have a studio space, so I make my windows outside (often in Griffith Park), and I like to think of my work as a kind of outsider art.
My dad made traditional lead came stained glass windows when I was growing up. He taught me the process, and for years I kept doing it sporadically - mainly for practice, or because I decided someone in my life needed a stained glass version of something that no stained glass window had ever depicted.
The actual work is intricate, tactile, and meditative, so it’s a nice counterpoint to writing and puzzle design. Since I’ve never been very interested in following patterns, all my windows are original designs. And to date, I’ve never finished a window without cutting myself at least a little, so there’s blood (if not sweat and tears) in each of my creations.
